Thank you for using weejur ("the Service"). The Service is a personal project operated by npilk ("I", "me") — not a company. It provides a simple web interface for publishing static websites to GitHub Pages through your own GitHub account.
By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
The Service lets you paste HTML or upload files and publish them to GitHub Pages via your GitHub account using GitHub's OAuth authentication. The Service acts as a convenience layer — your content is hosted by GitHub on their infrastructure, under your account. Nothing is stored on weejur's servers.
You own the content you publish through the Service, and you are solely responsible for it. By publishing content, you represent that:
I do not monitor, review, or moderate content published through the Service. I am not responsible for any content you or other users publish.
Because the Service works through GitHub's platform, you are also bound by:
If there's a conflict between these terms and GitHub's, GitHub's terms govern anything that happens on their platform.
This is a personal project maintained in my spare time. It may break, change, or shut down at any time without notice. I have no obligation to provide support, maintenance, or updates.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, content, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — regardless of whether I've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
My total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for it, which is zero.
I reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. This includes (but isn't limited to) suspected abuse, violations of these terms, or if I decide to shut down the Service entirely.
The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by GitHub, Inc. or any of its affiliates. GitHub, GitHub Pages, and related marks are trademarks of GitHub, Inc.
I may update these terms from time to time. If I make significant changes, I'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised terms.

weejur ("the Service") is a personal project operated by npilk ("I", "me"). This policy explains what information the Service accesses, collects, and how it's used.
When you sign in, the Service uses GitHub's OAuth flow to authenticate you. This grants the Service access to:

The Service accesses your GitHub account only to perform the actions you request (publishing, updating, or deleting sites). Your GitHub OAuth token is stored in your browser's localStorage and never sent to or stored on any server controlled by weejur. The token only leaves your browser when making API calls directly to GitHub.
You can revoke the Service's access at any time in your GitHub authorized applications settings.

The Service uses Umami, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics tool. The Umami instance is self-hosted and served from stats.weejur.com.
Here's what Umami does and doesn't do:
Umami is compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR. No consent banner is required because no personal data is processed and no cookies are used. For more details, see Umami's privacy information.
The Service does not use cookies. It uses your browser's localStorage to store:
This data never leaves your browser except when making authenticated requests directly to GitHub's API. You can clear it at any time by signing out or clearing your browser's site data.
The Service also uses IndexedDB (browser-local storage) temporarily to hold files you've selected for upload until they are published. These are never sent to any server other than GitHub.
To be explicit about what the Service does not do:
Since the Service has no server-side storage, there is no user data to retain. Your authentication token and username exist only in your browser's localStorage until you sign out or clear your browser data. Analytics data is retained in aggregate indefinitely, but since it contains no personal information, it cannot be linked to you.
Content you publish lives in your own GitHub repository. If you want to delete it, you can do so through the weejur dashboard or directly through GitHub. Revoking OAuth access removes the Service's ability to interact with your account.
The Service relies on the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). I don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
The Service is operated from the United States. If you're accessing it from elsewhere, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States. The Service's minimal data collection is designed to comply with GDPR and similar frameworks, but I make no formal compliance guarantees.
I may update this policy as the Service evolves. Significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
